Volunteer With Us

Every Child Belongs. So Do You.

Give your time, share your skills, and help make inclusion a reality for children and families across Leeds.

At Striving for Inclusion CIC, we believe every child deserves to feel valued, included, and able to thrive.

We support children, young people, and families across Leeds through inclusive activities, cultural learning, SEND-friendly programmes, EAL family support, and parent empowerment.

Many of the families we work with are navigating unfamiliar education, health, and community systems while supporting children with additional needs. They should not have to do it alone.

Our volunteers make that support possible.

Whether you are welcoming a new family, helping a child join a game, supporting a parent, organising activities, or assisting behind the scenes, your time can have a lasting impact.

We are currently looking for volunteers to:

Support delivering our Folktale Club, Board Games Club, Arts & Crafts Club, and Wax Wolof & Etiquette Club.

Support children with SEND and additional needs during activities.

Create a safe, inclusive environment.

Support with our Parenting for Inclusion activities.

Support administration and volunteer coordination.

Support with community outreach, partnerships, and volunteer recruitment.

Assist with events, workshops, and family programmes.

No experience? That's okay.

If you are patient, reliable, willing to learn, and passionate about inclusion, we will provide guidance, training, and ongoing support.

Why volunteer with us?

  • Make a genuine difference in children's and families' lives.
  • Gain practical experience in SEND, community engagement, and inclusion.
  • Build confidence and develop new skills.
  • Join a supportive and welcoming team.
  • Help create a community where everyone feels they belong.
